Pet Sitter/Dog Walker

Walk & Wag Chapel Hill is looking for motivated, responsible, hard working pet lovers to provide pet sitting and dog walking services in Chapel Hill/Carrboro, North Carolina.

REQUIREMENTS:

Do you live in Chapel Hill or Carrboro, North Carolina? Or very close?
Are you comfortable working a contract role?
Are you at least 21 years old?
Do you have a valid driver’s license, own or lease a reliable car, and car insurance?
Can you make at least a one-year commitment to this contract role?
Can you commit to working over either the Thanksgiving OR Christmas holiday? (only one required)
Are you fully vaccinated for COVID-19 + boosted?
Are you willing to undergo a national criminal background check?

OUR IDEAL APPLICANT:

You love animals and feel comfortable around all types
You have some pet care experience (preference given to those with professional experience)
You are physically able to walk all types of dogs (large & small, all breeds)
You can be on your feet and moving for 30-60 minutes at a time
You can walk several miles and many hours over the course of a day
You’re very organized and flexible, and you prefer to manage your own schedule
You are reliable, trustworthy, and punctual
You have great communication skills (with clients and fellow team members)
You have regular access to the internet and a smartphone

MORE ABOUT THIS ROLE:

As a contract worker, you will make your own schedule by agreeing to pet sitting services, working weekdays and weekends on a regular basis.
