Wildlife Exclusion Technician (Handyperson)

We are great people doing great work for a great cause!

Where wild animals come into conflict with humans, we empower people, repair dwellings, and respect wildlife. Humane Homes was started in Chapel Hill in 2016 when Founder, Eric Goldman, was doing handy work and began to realize a lack of humane wildlife removal services. He did his research (a whole lot of it!) finding, testing, and proving his own methods that don’t require toxic chemicals or lethal traps. We provide comprehensive solutions from removal and repair to remediation and prevention. We are passionate and eager but our business model is firmly rooted in foresight and sustainability, not only driving sales. That means our employees are treated like human beings, not machines. We focus on offering homeowners accurate and useful information, not utilizing fear to up-sell. It’s about a balance of many factors. Harmony is a key theme in everything we do.

We are reimagining the wildlife removal industry. Why use more force than is necessary? Why kill if you don’t have to? How can we reduce suffering? We’ve discovered that the root of human-wildlife conflict is vulnerabilities in the home or structure. You can kill trap forever but if you don’t close wildlife’s front door and pull up the welcome mat, they will keep coming right in. Our business is thriving and we are so excited to continue to grow our reach.
